There’s an obsession with repetition as well as with “kit” in this EP. Experimentations with short, choppy loops and segments that function almost like instruments in themselves. It evokes the same sort of techniques that you would be using midi-boards for reconstructions, but with an added layer of precision and more built off of it, using the most complex part of its compositions not as the focus, but in the background, humble. There really is nothing else quite like Kartna’s music.
